We invite artists

Sinara charitable Foundation launches a new project to create an art platform for the development and promotion of Ural contemporary art. The project is implemented using a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society, provided by the presidential grants Fund.

At the first stage, Sinara invites Ural artists to submit a request to participate in the project. To do this, fill out the form https://forms.gle/hrupbpXAasXLmkjb9. Artists who live in the Ural region, including in the Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Tyumen regions and 2 Autonomous districts – KHMAO-Yugra and YANAO, can apply. Applications are accepted until March 15. It is important not just to Express a desire to participate in the project, but also to support it with a portfolio of your own creativity.

Participants will have meetings with Russian and foreign critics, which will give them an opportunity to get feedback from professionals and add to their portfolios. The project also includes reading sessions, open seminars, PhraseBook meetings, master classes, an interdisciplinary laboratory, and other events.

The art platform is a tool for dialogue with a professional audience, which will increase the degree of involvement of Ural authors in the international artistic environment. The idea of the project – to articulate the practices of artists through the external view of critics-allows you to take a step towards a more conscious career. In addition, an artist whose work is described by a critic is more likely to fall into the active base of other agents of the art process: curators, researchers, galleries, museums, exhibition halls, art residencies, biennales and fairs.
